In Simulation of Life, Felix Helmut Wagner explores how reality is represented in art and science through poetic means. The characters “The Artist” and “The Scientist” embody these two domains, while the “Storyteller,” dressed in blue, narrates the events. All roles are performed by Wagner himself. During the video, “The Artist” and “The Scientist” jointly “give birth” to “O,” a metaphysical figure dressed in pink, who in turn metaphorically gives birth to reality in the form of a mirror ball.
